Avoiding work is a talent of mine and today it led me to a very strange corner of the internet. I found a website that is completely dedicated to eerie reads and paranormal content which was not what I expected from the domain name. It starts with a fictional tale about a woman whose dead sister calls her on the phone which was genuinely unsettling. After that it goes into tons of short summaries about horror books and haunted locations from around the world. I was not sure what to make of it at first but I kept reading anyway.



The website is adolfhitler.name and I have to say that is probably the strangest domain name I have ever seen for a blog about spooky stories and supernatural fiction. The content is a mix of book reviews, story summaries, and quick write-ups about famous haunted places like Amityville and Aokigahara Forest. There is also a longer original ghost story about two sisters and a mysterious phone call that was surprisingly well written. The quality jumps around a lot but there is definitely plenty of creepy material to explore. If you enjoy reading about paranormal events you might actually find something worth your time here.



I spent over an hour clicking through all the different sections because there is honestly a surprising amount of variety on that single page. Some parts discuss classic horror tales like The Fall of the House of Usher while other sections dive into modern horror fiction and quick facts about haunted legends. I also stumbled upon a short ghost story about a phone call from the dead that gave me a little chill. The writing does get repetitive in places with certain phrases appearing over and over again and some sentences feel completely out of place. I noticed random mentions of things like soldiers or medication in the middle of a horror summary which was just confusing.



The haunted places section ended up being my favorite part because it covers locations like Aokigahara Forest, Alcatraz, and The Haunting in Connecticut. I have always been fascinated by urban legends and paranormal phenomena so reading quick summaries about these spots was pretty entertaining for me. There is also a section about Bloody Mary and other folklore that brought back memories of childhood sleepovers and telling scary stories in the dark. It is definitely not a professional website by any stretch of the imagination but it works as a decent time killer when you are bored.



Back to work I guess. The domain name is definitely strange and might turn some people away but the actual content is harmless and focused on supernatural entertainment. I have no idea who runs it or why they chose that name but it feels like a passion project or maybe just someone experimenting with blogging. If you enjoy paranormal reads give it a shot and see what you think. Just do not expect a polished site and you might still enjoy some of the creepy content.
