What Is a Cataract?

A cataract is the clouding of the eye's natural lens, which is normally clear and helps focus light onto the retina to produce sharp vision. As the lens becomes cloudy, light cannot pass through properly, causing vision to become blurred, hazy, or dim.

## Cataract Diagnosis



A comprehensive eye examination is essential to confirm the presence of a cataract, determine its severity, and identify any other eye conditions that may affect vision or influence surgical planning. ### Medical History and Vision Assessment

### Refraction Test

### Slit-Lamp Examination
