No reviews and no clear answer on parts is reason enough to ask questions before you book. Message them and ask for the pad brand and part number they'd fit, plus whether it's Porsche OE or aftermarket. If they dodge it, that's your answer.

Fronts on a Cayenne S go quicker than most people expect, mine needed them around 35k km, so don't assume the job was done wrong just because they wear fast. Pad compound and how hard the car gets driven matter more than who fitted them.

Had my 958 done at an independent and what sold me was that they replaced the wear sensors on the same axle without me asking and showed me the old ones. Ask whether sensors are in the quote, because some places list pads only and add them on later.

Genuine Porsche pads aren't the only good option. Textar, Pagid, and ATE all make OE-spec sets for the 958, so aftermarket isn't automatically a downgrade. Bedding in is simple, a series of moderate stops from about 80 km/h down to 10 without coming to a full halt, then a cooldown drive. Ask if they'll also check the rotor thickness against minimum.

Is the warning light for the fronts, the rears, or both? On the 958 the rears carry the electronic parking brake, so if it's only the fronts you can avoid that service mode headache. Also, what's the km on the car, and have the discs been measured yet?
